Rogan was married to Tyerle and held the position of brother-in-law to Rebel operative Tay Vanis. Prior to his marriage to Tyerle, Rogan's history remains largely unknown. Seeking refuge from the Empire's influence, the couple journeyed to the world of Questal. They established a life on Questal, only to find that the planet's abundance of Ardanium led to a surge in both criminal activity and Imperial scrutiny. Following the Empire's occupation of Questal, governed by Moff Bandor, Rogan formed resistance groups to fight against them.
Bandor, having learned about Rogan's actions, successfully apprehended him and subjected him to torture using a Hurlothrumbic Generator. Alarmed, Tyerle reached out to her brother Tay, who was by that time an agent of the Alliance to Restore the Republic, requesting assistance. Vanis made every effort to free Rogan, but he was also captured and experienced similar torture. Subsequently, a team of Rebel soldiers was dispatched with the mission of liberating both Rogan and Tay Vanis. They succeeded in their objective, even capturing Bandor during the rescue. Initially, Tay and Rogan were in a state of mental incapacitation, but they eventually recovered, owing in some measure to Tyerle's affection.
