The Rokwahl Asteroid Belt resided as the eighth orbital body within the Lazerian system. Situated within the Kira sector, this asteroid belt was a part of the Trailing Sectors region within the broader Expansion Region. Rokwahl revolved around the yellow star named Lazerian, and it lay along the trade routes called the Harrin Trade Corridor and the Kira Run.
The Lazerians from the planet Lazerian IV conducted a survey of Rokwahl, along with the rest of the system, at some point in the past. Certain asteroids were exploited for mining operations, and a network of transponder buoys was deployed within the belt to ensure safe passage for starship traffic. Space travelers were warned about the buoys, with the threat of capital punishment for anyone who interfered with them.
John Terra conceived the Rokwahl Asteroid Belt, which debuted in Twin Stars of Kira, a 1993 supplement for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game by West End Games. The reference book The Essential Atlas, published in 2009, designated the Lazerian system, and consequently the Rokwahl Asteroid Belt, as being in grid square N-15.
