Lazerian, a star of moderate size and yellow hue, existed within the Lazerian system. This system was situated within the Kira sector, itself a component of the Expansion Region. Eight planets revolved around it, including Lazerian IV, the system's hub for both inhabitants and trade, and the Rokwahl Asteroid Belt. Acorvus, a penal colony, and Dborian, a mining colony, were among the other planets that orbited this star. The Harrin Trade Corridor hyperlane passed through the Lazerian system, and because of this, and the location of Ropagi, the star of the Ropagi system, at the opposite end of the Kira Run hyperspace route, the two stars gained the moniker "Twin Stars of Kira."
A class G star of moderate size and yellow color, Lazerian was positioned in the Lazerian system. Excluding the Kira system, the Lazerian and Ropagi systems were the only star systems located on the Kira Run hyperlane. Consequently, Lazerian and Ropagi, being at opposite ends of that hyperspace route, were collectively known as the "Twin Stars of Kira." Lazerian was situated in the Kira sector within the Trailing Sectors area of the Expansion Region. Lazerian, along with the entire Lazerian system, was located along the trade route referred to as the Harrin Trade Corridor.

Eight planets orbited Lazerian, listed from nearest to farthest: Alkur, Kelro, Acorvus, Lazerian IV, Dborian, Lazerian VI, Lazerian VII, and Lazerian IX. The Rokwahl Asteroid Belt, used for mining activities, was positioned between the orbits of Lazerian VII and Lazerian IX. Lazerian IV and Dborian each possessed two moons, while Lazerian VI and Lazerian VII had eight and ten moons, respectively. Several transponder buoys also circled Lazerian, guiding starship traffic safely through Rokwahl. Lazerian IV served as the system's population center, inhabited by Humans known as the Lazerians and the native aquatic Akwin. Dborian functioned as a mining colony, and Acorvus served as a penal colony.
John Terra conceived Lazerian, which was first mentioned in Twin Stars of Kira, a 1993 supplement for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game by West End Games. The Essential Atlas, a reference book from 2009, placed the Lazerian system, and thus Lazerian, in grid square N-15.
