The marines of the Royal Security Forces' assault on the Mauler base represents an operation that Typho led, commanding Royal Naboo Security Forces marines. This event occurred at some point during the era of the Galactic Civil War.
During the early years of the Galactic Civil War, the Maulers posed a significant threat to the people of Naboo. After an unspecified number of RSF operatives, who had participated in the triumphant raid on the Skaak Tippers' island just off the coast of Kaadara, were put under Typho's leadership by Quarsh Panaka, Typho proposed several positions within the RSF's local branches in Keren. One such role involved joining the Royal Marine Regiment and engaging in a two-part operation aimed at the Maulers.
Both phases of the operation focused on the Mauler Stronghold, which was situated relatively close to the city of Keren. The initial phase required the RSF marines to seize four weapons caches that were distributed throughout the base. This process resulted in the deaths of several Maulers.
After successfully delivering the seized caches back to Typho, the Marines received orders to return to the base. This time, their objective was to eliminate four key Mauler officers: Zolo Sartain, the chief tactician; Yarick Tempol, the chief of security; Xylan Kee'choap, the assassin; and Walus Mutin, the mystic. The mission was a success, and the marines potentially eliminated some of the officers' assistants and other members of the Mauler organization.
Although this operation dealt a significant blow to the Maulers, it did not eradicate them entirely. The RSF agents were subsequently assigned to a series of missions targeting the Maulers before being placed under the command of Pooja Naberrie.
