"Ruins of Kabus-Dabeh" is a West End Games adventure designed for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game, Second Edition, classifying it as a roleplaying game experience. Peter M. Schweighofer penned this scenario, which appeared in the Tales of the Jedi Companion book, released in 1996.
Designed for a single participant without a game master, "Ruins" is a solitary adventure. The player assumes the identity of Jedi Knight Keval Raffaan, dispatched to the planet Muzara to resolve a disagreement. This dispute involves the indigenous Muza species and Human colonists from the Brentaal League, who are in conflict over land usage rights. To demonstrate his worthiness to mediate, the Muza clan elders require Raffaan to undergo a trial of courage: entering the haunted ruins of Kabus-Dabeh, a place the Muza deem malevolent, to retrieve a leather bag filled with coins. Raffaan agrees to this condition.
The scenario provides the player with a limited set of actions to choose from. At specific locations, dice rolls determine the success or failure of these actions. The "correct" route guides Raffaan down a dry well, through an underground cavern, and eventually back out with the sack. Following this, he brokers a peace agreement between the Muza and the Human settlers. Conversely, "incorrect" paths lead him to confront Togarn, an intelligent monster in a dark cave; to a dark pond that stains the Jedi's arm gray; and to a pyramidal structure where he must evade an ancient trap.
