The Sacred Feast, also known as the Great Feast and occasionally the "Munchen," was a significant day dedicated to celebration and gratitude. The Gungans of Naboo showed their appreciation to their guds, the deities central to Gungan religious beliefs, through this tradition. According to custom, the Boss, or chieftain, of each village would embark on a hunting expedition into the forest once every year, securing enough game to provide sustenance for the entire community. A specific instance of the Sacred Feast occurred circa 3000 BBY. During this particular event, Boss Gallo departed from his settlement, Otoh Sancture, in pursuit of nerfs for the feast's preparations. Tragically, while he was away, his village suffered an attack and was decimated by bursas, furry, carnivorous, and semi-sentient creatures. It was later revealed that these bursas had been dispatched by Boss Rogoe.
The Sacred Feast was featured exclusively in the 2001 PC video game Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds, along with its expansion, Clone Campaigns. Its appearance was in the opening mission, "Otoh Sancture," of the Boss Nass campaign. Furthermore, the Feast was mentioned in the Prima strategy guide for the game, which was published a week earlier.
