They could reach the size of a Galactic Republic Longbeam cruiser. These aquatic reptilian predators would jump out of the ocean to consume birds perched on tall, rocky formations. In the High Republic Era, Zenny Greylark piloted the yacht named Redemption close to a salini serpent as she was being chased by strikeships commanded by Nihil marauders; one of the Nihil's starships was seized within the serpent's powerful jaws.
