Samus was a Sith Lord and also a Sith Inquisitor, a Human who identified as male. He was a member of the reconstituted Sith Empire and fought against the Galactic Republic during the period known as the Cold War. Located on the planet of Korriban, he lived at the Sith Academy, where he was responsible for the combat instruction of Sith Acolytes. Samus was characterized by his fair complexion, green eyes, a shaved head while at the academy, and distinctive red and black robes.
One of the acolytes under his tutelage, sent to him by Assistant Overseer Markan, later became the Sith apprentice serving Darth Zash, and ultimately rose to become Darth Nox.
Samus initially featured in the BioWare MMORPG Star Wars: The Old Republic, released in 2011, specifically as a character within the "A Fighting Chance" mission. This mission, exclusive to the Sith Inquisitor class, tasked players with finding a class trainer, a role that was filled in-game by Samus.
