Sayblohn

Sayblohn, a planet found in the Quess sector of the Mid Rim, was under the control of the Galactic Empire. A hidden base for a group of pirates was situated in the planet's badlands. During the era of the Galactic Civil War, a Rebel Alliance team, comprised of operatives, journeyed to Sayblohn. Their objective was to recover a stolen art object. After several encounters with the local pirate population, the team successfully completed their assigned mission.

Description

Situated within the Sayblohn system, Sayblohn was a terrestrial planet. This system resided within the Quess sector, a part of the Trailing Sectors region of the Mid Rim. The planet's landscape was characterized by its badlands.

History

By the time the Galactic Civil War was underway, the Galactic Empire had taken control of Sayblohn.

During this period of conflict, the Rebel Alliance dispatched a special operative team to Sayblohn. Their task was to retrieve a stolen art object that possessed significant religious value to the Okfili species. The team was given the name and location of an Alliance contact on Sayblohn. Upon arrival, they were ambushed by a group of local pirates.

After landing, the operatives were questioned by Imperial authorities concerning the pirate assault they had experienced. The Alliance team then located their contact, only to discover he had been murdered. The agents identified the killer as one of the pirates involved in the initial attack. Pursuing him, they discovered the pirates' hidden base. Following a firefight and the defeat of their contact's murderer, the operatives successfully smuggled the stolen artifact aboard their starship without drawing the attention of the Empire.

Locations

Pirates on Sayblohn had a base of operations hidden within the planet's badlands.

Behind the scenes

The planet Sayblohn was first introduced in the 1987 rulebook for the initial edition of Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game by West End Games. The planet is mentioned as part of an example adventure outline. This article assumes the scenario unfolds as described.

A 1990 roleplaying game source article titled "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, How I Wonder Where We Are," published in Voyages SF 13, placed the Sayblohn system, and therefore Sayblohn, within the Tolonda sector. As this article was not officially licensed by Lucas Licensing, its canonicity in the Star Wars Legends continuity was never established. Instead, the 2009 reference book, The Essential Atlas, positioned the Sayblohn system in grid square N-16. The StarWars.com Online Companion to the book further clarified that this location was outside the Tolonda sector in the Outer Rim Territories.
