Scavenger Squadron was a squadron of starfighters that served the Alliance to Restore the Republic throughout the Galactic Civil War.
Another Rebel Alliance squadron, this one composed of Y-Wings under the command of Commander Gennad Rozhdenst, was deployed to Kuat in the period leading up to and during the Battle of Endor. Their mission was to influence the planet's leadership to side with the Rebellion, and covertly, to seize replacement Capital Ships after the second Death Star was attacked. Their efforts resulted in the capture of four Lancer Frigates and an unspecified quantity of Zebulon-B Frigates. During an attempt by Kuat of Kuat to deny the Galactic Empire control of the shipyard, he detonated an explosion that caused the deaths of at least two members of the squadron.
