Second Battle of Champala

The Second Battle of Champala, alternatively referred to as the Battle of Champala, transpired in 17 ABY amidst the Imperial Skirmishes. In this engagement, Admiral Gial Ackbar, commanding the Executor-class Star Dreadnought named Guardian, spearheaded the New Republic's Third, Fourth, and Fifth Fleets with the objective of reclaiming the planet Champala from the forces of the Imperial Remnant.

Behind the scenes

The initial depiction of the conflict between Ackbar and Pellaeon as the Battle of Champala appeared in The New Essential Chronology. Subsequently, The Essential Atlas revised the name to Second Battle, clarifying that Pellaeon's forces had initially seized Champala before the subsequent confrontation with Ackbar during the Second Battle.
