Recapture of Outpost D-34
A subsequent engagement unfolded at Outpost D-34 not long after the Battle of Hoth during the year 3 ABY.
Prelude
During the assault occurring within the Tungra sector, Outpost D-34 underwent an attack and was seized. The vessel Fogger made its way back to Outpost D-34 only to discover that it was now under Rebel control. The Fogger promptly initiated a counter-offensive with the intention of reclaiming the station.
Battle
The Fogger obliterated two Escort shuttles belonging to Post. Subsequently, Maarek Stele conducted an investigation of the Container Transport named Gopher, discovering that it was carrying the majority of the equipment that had been pilfered from the platform. Stele weakened the shields sufficiently to enable transport group Omega to board and secure the transport. From the platform, Stormtrooper transport group Ginger then launched an attack on the Fogger, alongside Escort Shuttle group Claf, an action which culminated in their complete destruction at the hands of the Fogger and its accompanying fighter escorts. With the defenses neutralized, Transport Sigma then boarded and successfully recaptured the platform, thereby restoring complete control of the system.
Aftermath
The Imperial forces managed to reclaim the platform and, in the process, recovered a substantial portion of the stolen materials originating from the outpost. Before long, they would identify the source of the rebel incursions targeting D-34, which was situated within the Bruanii sector.
Behind the scenes
This narrative represents the mission's storyline when played at "medium" difficulty. Should the player opt for the "hard" difficulty setting, a greater number of starfighter squadrons will emerge to engage the Fogger.
