This name is shared with the Herglic species, whose trade empire became part of the Galactic Republic circa 13,000 BBY. The Republic's Rocket-Jumper Elite Advance Unit participated in this feud. This event became a celebrated chapter in the unit's history, showcasing their bravery in battle.
Daniel Wallace introduced the Second Herglic Feud in Galaxy at War, a sourcebook for the Star Wars Roleplaying Game by Wizards of the Coast released in 2009. Initially, Jason Fry and Paul R. Urquhart planned to include a reference to this conflict in their 2012 reference book, The Essential Guide to Warfare. However, the section written by Wallace containing this mention was removed before publication. This section was subsequently published in 2014 as part of Star Wars: The Essential Guide to Warfare Author's Cut, a series of articles on the StarWars.com Blog by Fry and Del Rey editor Erich Schoeneweiss, featuring content omitted from the book.
