Sector Security, frequently shortened to SecSec, functioned as a law enforcement agency throughout the time of the New Republic. Their primary objective was the apprehension of the brothers Karrst and Filin, who were implicated in a minimum of one hundred deaths. However, in the moments leading up to the brothers' capture by Sector Security officers, the Knights of Ren appeared, rescuing Karrst and Filin while simultaneously eliminating the security personnel.
