Sector
The Mid Rim's sectors are shown
A star sector, otherwise called a sector, represented a zone of realspace or terrain defined by a man-made, standard border.
A planetary sector encompassed a collection of solar systems. Furthermore, sectors functioned as local administrative districts. The galaxy was partitioned into slightly more than 1,000 sectors. During the Galactic Empire's reign, there were 1,024 distinct regional sectors, each governed by a Moff, serving as the sector's governor. Multiple sectors could be combined to form an Oversector, which was under the control of a Grand Moff.
Major Lio Partagaz established the sector boundaries that were monitored by supervisors within the Imperial Security Bureau.
Certain areas on a planet's surface could also be divided into sectors. During the Clone Wars, the Confederacy of Independent Systems segmented their territory on Anaxes into sectors, one of which was Sector One. Batuu, an Outer Rim planet, disposed of waste from Black Spire Outpost at Sector 3263827.
