Seer signified a specific position within the Priest caste of the Yuuzhan Vong society. The role of a seer was to discern omens from the Gods, decipher symbolic meanings, and declare the opportune moment for the Yuuzhan Vong to engage in combat. Frequently, seers were women, and their bodies were typically adorned with the dark blood of the Yuuzhan Vong.
The role of seer manifested in different forms within the Yuuzhan Vong hierarchy. A distinct example included the warrior-seer, who offered both spiritual guidance and strategic counsel to high-ranking Yuuzhan Vong commanders. Furthermore, a group of four Royal Seers attended Shimrra Jamaane, the Supreme Overlord of the Yuuzhan Vong, during the concluding period of the Yuuzhan Vong War.
