The Serathrace sector could be found within the Slice region of the Expansion Region. As of 0 ABY, it shared borders with the Belasco sector towards the Coreward direction, the Tolemses sector towards the Rimward direction, and the Axion sector towards the spinward direction. Furthermore, the sector had a four-way intersection with the Askarian sector, the Hangshan sector, and the Harron Marches along its trailing boundary. Within the Serathrace sector was the Batravia system, the place where Batravian gumpluckers originated.
The Serathrace sector was first created in the StarWars.com Online Companion for The Essential Atlas, a reference book from 2009. A map created by Modi featuring the sector was released in the 2012 StarWars.com article called "Essential Atlas Extra: Expansion Region."
