During the Republic Dark Age, there existed a military unit known as Serraknife Battalion. This battalion, which took its name from the weapon, was under the command of the Sanyassan Tun-Badon and was a component of the mercenary group known as Rusher's Brigade. The Serraknife Battalion, along with the rest of Rusher's Brigade, participated in combat in 1032 BBY on the planet Gazzari, fighting for the Sith Lord Daiman against the forces of the Sith Lord Odion. Tragically, every member of the Serraknife Battalion met their death during this battle.
