Servant

The Servants were zealous followers of the Sith Pureblood race, devoted to the Emperor of the Sith Empire. They originated as members of the Emperor's Hand. However, after the Sith Emperor's abandonment of the Empire, the Servants persisted in their loyalty to him, acting against the wishes of the established Sith Empire.

History

Initially, the title was bestowed upon the twelve members comprising the Emperor's Hand, the clandestine group serving the Sith Emperor of the re-established Sith Empire. This appointment was for life, and the twelve Sith purebloods within the Hand were granted a mental connection to their master, as well as a fraction of his immortality. This was in exchange for the Emperor drawing upon their strength to sustain his own existence. Around the year 3643 BBY, Servant One held the highest position among the Servants, and he was perpetually in the company of Servant Two.

Later, the deaths of Servant One and Two resulted in a leadership vacuum within the organization. The Servants were relentlessly pursued by Lord Scourge and Kira Carsen. According to Scourge, each time they believed they had eliminated all of them, even more emerged to take their place.

Emperor Vowrawn's restructuring of the Hand also marked the downfall of the Servants. The reformed organization owed no allegiance to the former Sith Emperor, Vitiate, primarily due to his ambition to consume all life to fuel his immortality and his rejection of the Sith in favor of Zakuul.

During the time of the third Galactic War, the Servants, under the command of Servant Four, regrouped in a final, desperate attempt to aid in the resurrection of Vitiate. Satele Shan and her students were afflicted with a plague and left comatose. Their efforts were disrupted by the arrival of the Scions of Zakuul, led by Minazar, who were seeking to resurrect Valkorion. The two factions engaged in fierce combat throughout the ship until the arrival of the Alliance Commander, which resulted in the group's annihilation and the prevention of the Emperor's resurrection.
