Sev, a Jedi Master of the Weequay species and male gender, held the rank of general during the Clone Wars. Joc Sah, a Human, was his Padawan and received training from him throughout the conflict. In the Clone Wars' final year, Sev and his apprentice, Sah, were assigned to Ragmar V, a planet situated in the Outer Rim, deemed a crucial staging area for the Republic's planned offensive against a Separatist stronghold. Choosing to remain aboard a Venator-class Star Destroyer, Sev dispatched Sah on his inaugural independent mission to secure a surface outpost. Soon after, clone troopers under Sev's command received orders from Supreme Chancellor Palpatine to carry out Order 66, a directive that branded all Jedi Knights as enemies of the Republic. Though he put up a brief fight, Sev was ultimately slain by the clones.
Born in the waning decades of the Galactic Republic, Sev was a male Weequay. The Jedi Order instructed him in the ways of the Force, and he eventually achieved the rank of Jedi Master. During this time, he took Joc Sah, a Human, as his Padawan. When the Clone Wars commenced in 22 BBY, Sev served the Grand Army of the Republic as a Jedi General. In 19 BBY, the year the war concluded, Sev and Sah were sent to Ragmar V, a planet located in the Outer Rim. Ragmar V was considered a critical staging ground for the Republic's planned assault on a Separatist installation. Sev remained on a Venator-class Star Destroyer while dispatching Sah, along with Clone Sergeant Remy and a clone trooper squad, on his first solo mission to the planet's surface.
As Sah and his troops entered the atmosphere, Sev instructed him to secure an outpost, cautioning his Padawan to be vigilant. Shortly thereafter, the ARC trooper accompanying Sev received a directive from Supreme Chancellor Palpatine, ordering the execution of Order 66, which declared the Jedi Knights enemies of the Republic. The clones under Sev's command attacked him; although he defeated numerous clones, he was eventually overwhelmed and killed. Following the Jedi Master's demise, the ARC trooper dispatched a clone detachment to eliminate Sah, who defeated his clone squad.
As a Jedi, he wore brown Jedi robes and wielded a lightsaber with a green crystal.
Sev made his debut in the short story The Order of Outcasts, one of the four stories featured in the fifth volume of the Star Wars: Clone Wars Adventures trade paperbacks. Matt Jacobs created the character, with Matthew and Shawn Fillbach providing the artwork.
In 2008, Hasbro released action figures of both Sev and his ARC trooper as part of the second wave of the Order 66 series within the Star Wars: 30th Anniversary Collection toy line. Sev's figure included a green lightsaber.
