Shluur

Shluur was a percussion-focused group operating in the smazzo style. This ensemble was comprised of musicians representing over two dozen different species, and they toured extensively throughout the galaxy, presenting musical performances. Notably, they once performed a series of concerts at the Purghom Musical Performance Hall located within the Bith capital city of Weogar on the planet Clak'dor VII. These shows, which lasted for two weeks, were all sold out. During this engagement, Wurokkk, a male Wookiee and one of the group's arrangers, conducted an experiment using Bith vibrations. He leveraged biorhythms and brainwave patterns to create a piece intended to provoke aggressive behavior in the Bith audience. Once Wurokkk's scheme was discovered through an investigation, the Wookiee was promptly escorted off of the planet.

History

A percussion-centered group known as Shluur, playing in the smazzo style, journeyed all over the galaxy. This group featured musicians from more than two dozen different species. They blended rhythms and vocal styles from various cultures and music traditions found across the galaxy. The Purghom Musical Performance Hall in Weogar, the Bith capital city on the planet Clak'dor VII, hosted the group for a two-week series of sold-out performances. Wurokkk, a male Wookiee and an arranger for the group, performed an experiment during these concerts. He arranged a piece designed to subtly encourage aggressive behavior in the Bith audience by using vibrations based on the Biths' biorhythms and brainwave patterns.

By the second week, the Bith began to act erratically, damaging property and attacking one another. A low-ranking government official on Clak'dor VII investigated the band, and it was discovered that many who had attended several Shluur concerts had experienced violent outbursts. When confronted, Wurokkk expressed delight at the success of his experiment, which resulted in the shocked Bith requesting that he be escorted off-planet. Wurokkk had planned to surprise his escorts with a sonic-based trick.

Behind the scenes
