Shol Bestros was a Jedi Master of the male gender and Miraluka species who served both the Galactic Republic and the Jedi Order. He existed during the time of the Cold War alongside the resurgent Sith Empire.
Born in 3681 BBY, Shol Bestros was a male Miralukan who possessed sensitivity to the Force. His birth predated the Great Galactic War with the resurgent Sith Empire. Unlike many others of his species, Bestros initially rejected the Jedi Order. However, the Zabrak Jedi Master Kao Cen Darach noticed the young Miraluka's potential and successfully persuaded him to join the Order. The Order trained Bestros in the ways of the Force, and he eventually rose to the rank of Jedi Master, gaining a seat on the Jedi High Council.
Bestros made the acquaintance of Padawan Gnost-Dural and, observing the Padawan's deep interest in lore and knowledge, encouraged him to maintain a personal journal.
Following the conclusion of the Great Galactic War, Master Bestros, along with the rest of the Jedi Order, returned to their ancestral homeworld of Tython. He assisted in the rebuilding efforts during the Cold War, residing at the Temple located there. His aspirations to construct a retreat on the Tythos Ridge were thwarted by the invasion of the native Flesh Raiders, who established a camp in the desired area.
