Shoril was a diminutive Gungan settlement situated beneath a lake that shared its designation. Comprising around twelve hydrostatic bubbles, its position in the lake was in a shallow area, rendering it visible from above the water. By the era of the Clone Wars, Shoril had fallen into a dilapidated condition, and the residents felt that Naboo's senatorial representative and governing officials had failed to honor their commitments to assist in the town's restoration. Despite the fact that no one in Shoril publicly acknowledged it, the embittered inhabitants privately favored the Confederacy of Independent Systems.
Shoril received a mention within Rise of the Separatists, a supplementary RPG resource for the Star Wars Roleplaying game line, brought to the public by Fantasy Flight Games during the year 2019.
