The Sif'kric system, a star system situated within the Mid Rim, encompassed not only Sif'kric, the native planet of the Sif'krie, but also the original world of the Frezhlix. The innermost planet was the source of the economically vital pommwomm plants.
During the period of the Caamas Document Crisis, the Frezhlix imposed a blockade on the system. This action was rationalized by the Frezhlix due to the Sif'krie's resistance to the Drashtine Initiative within their sector assembly, along with their insistence that the Bothans should compensate for the destruction that occurred on Caamas. The blockade threatened to eliminate as much as 20% of the annual pommwom output, but Garm Bel Iblis and Rogue Squadron intervened and successfully broke the blockade.
