A brief battle erupted on the moon of Drazkel in 33 BBY after the Jedi Padawan Eldra Kaitis was put up for auction. This auction, which was organized by the Xrexus Cartel at a space station in orbit around the moon, attracted numerous significant criminal groups, such as the Pyke Syndicate, various Moogans, and the Ohnaka Gang. In addition, the Sith apprentice Darth Maul was also drawn to the event. Maul, in collaboration with the bounty hunter Cad Bane and his Cad Bane's group, devised a plan to murder Kaitis in order to satisfy his desire to eliminate Jedi.
The battle started after the auction concluded. Even though the Moogan Jee Kra emerged as the auction's victor, Maul killed Kra. Kaitis escaped, which triggered a chase. Numerous droids, assassins, and other bounty hunters chased after Kaitis, and despite Maul's initial protection of her from them, he later dueled Kaitis, ultimately killing her in lightsaber combat.
