A Noti slingshot
Slingshots functioned as projectile weapons, designed for launching small objects. The user would load the object, draw back on the string, and then release it to propel the object with accuracy over considerable distances. The Xexto species residing on the planet Troiken frequently favored various forms of slingshots, finding them particularly convenient due to their multiple sets of arms. In addition, the children of Lothal were known to enjoy using them. During the Battle of Endor, Ewoks employed these weapons against the forces of the Galactic Empire. On the extragalactic world of Peridea, the indigenous and peaceful Noti people utilized slingshots as a defensive measure when under attack.
A variation known as the energy slingshot substituted the traditional string with a virtual line, enabling the user to launch projectiles consisting of low-voltage electrical charges.
