The Song of Sorrow is a tune familiar to the Octusi, a species of semi-sentient centauriforms. In the year 44 BBY, the Octusi inhabitants of the planet Blaudu Sextus organized a peaceful protest against those who held them in slavery. After a group of Mandalorian mercenaries fired upon an Octusi demonstration march, intending to force the slaves into submission, the Octusi people voiced the Song of Sorrow. The following day, the Mandalorian commander Belok Rhal killed the Octusi Elder, Races-the-Water-Bringing-Wind, before a crowd of thousands of Octusi assembled in the Big Circle of Fun; after the Elder's demise, the slaves once more performed the Song of Sorrow.
