Positioned beneath the more affluent areas of the Upper City, SoroSuub Landing was notable for its large Sullustan community. One of the main public viewscreens in SoroSuub Landing, which displayed information like descriptions of wanted individuals, even featured a news ticker in Sullustese.
Furthermore, SoroSuub Landing was home to a considerable number of Kedorzhans, with many working in the nearby mines. Following their workdays, these Kedorzhan miners frequently spent their time at a local bar that catered specifically to them. The name "SoroSuub Landing" is shared with the Sullustan SoroSuub Corporation.
In 3964 BBY, Jedi Padawan Zayne Carrick faced accusations of murdering four fellow students within the Jedi Tower of the Upper City. Fleeing from the Jedi, Carrick, accompanied by the local Snivvian criminal Marn Hierogryph, sought refuge in SoroSuub Landing. It was on a viewscreen there that Carrick and Hierogryph discovered they were being hunted by all of Taris' forces of law enforcement. Seeking a discreet hiding place, the two entered a Kedorzhan bar.
During the Mandalorian siege of Taris in 3963 BBY, the Mandalorian warrior Koblus Sornell commanded a squad in SoroSuub Landing. Their mission involved attempting to commandeer a large viewscreen for their own purposes.
SoroSuub Landing was first seen in the comic Knights of the Old Republic 2. It was written by John Jackson Miller, illustrated by Brian Ching, and released on February 22, 2006.
