Soulsaber

This Soulsaber was a weapon aligned with the dark-side, bearing resemblance in its design to a lightsaber. The hilt, measuring forty-five centimeters in length, was a dark black cylinder encased in a bronze-colored metal sculpted into a dragon's form. Upon activation, a blade of energy, extending one-and-a-half meter, emerged from the dragon's open mouth. This blade exhibited a deep violet shade, featuring an obsidian-colored core punctuated by blood-red sparks that traversed its length.

Functioning more as a physical embodiment of the dark side of the Force than a mere weapon, the Soulsaber represented anathema to the light side and all living things. As a nexus of dark-side power, its presence was palpable within a ten-meter radius. Individuals lacking Force-sensitivity experienced unease in its vicinity, while those attuned to the Force suffered discomfort ranging from headaches to nausea, struggling to focus and acutely aware of the potent dark-side source. Any being not corrupted by the dark side would be immediately assaulted by a wave of dark-side energy upon touching the Soulsaber.

The Soulsaber's purpose extended beyond mere destruction; it aimed to corrupt Force-sensitive individuals, drawing them to the dark side. Simply activating the weapon instilled negative emotions like anger, aggression, and fear, accompanied by a dark whisper promising immense power. This alone could sway individuals and potentially incite conflict among darksiders vying for possession. While its energy blade functioned similarly to a lightsaber, those struck by it experienced a surge of intense, agonizing cold, coupled with emotions designed to push them toward the dark side. Each strike further propelled the wielder deeper into the dark side as well.

When wielded in combat, the Soulsaber bestowed the Force ability Battlemind, enhancing battle prowess through heightened focus and resolve. The wielder's endurance was amplified, enabling them to fight even when near death, albeit at the cost of losing awareness of their proximity to death. Furthermore, the Soulsaber could drain Force energy from those it struck, temporarily transferring it to the wielder; energy could also be drawn from the surrounding environment.

A Dark Jedi constructed the Soulsaber and employed it during a fierce battle on Pamorjal against the Jedi Order, resulting in the demise of numerous Jedi Masters. Ultimately, the Dark Jedi was defeated, and the Jedi concealed the Soulsaber within a remote system, safeguarding it with the light side of the Force within the Cavern of Light on the planet ZXK-100346.6a. Later, the Dark Jedi Thaum Rystra retrieved the artifact with the unwilling assistance of Caeleb, who enabled Rystra to circumvent the light-side protection.
