The Southern Marshlands existed on the planet of Mimban. In 10 BBY, during the time of the Mimban Campaign, Lieutenant Alayus Bolandin informed soldiers of the 224th Imperial Armored Division that their departure to the southern marshlands was scheduled in three hours, and therefore, he needed a scouting group of ten individuals.
