His extensive networks, encompassing smugglers, pirates, and black market vendors, spanned the breadth of the galaxy. During the era of the Galactic Civil War, Sprax amassed a considerable fortune through the trade of weaponry, medical provisions, and replacement components, frequently acting under the direction of Prince Xizor, and generally favoring the Alliance to Restore the Republic over the Galactic Empire when the opportunity arose. His central hub of operations was strategically positioned along the Sisar Run, in close proximity to Hutt Space.

Sprax's professional journey commenced as an executive within the Jatayus Trading Consortium, based on Celanon. However, he departed from the consortium before ascending to its highest echelons of leadership, opting instead to secretly join Black Sun. Under the protection of the criminal syndicate, he began as an apprentice to a guildmaster on Brentaal IV, and later advanced to become a division supervisor at Xizor Transport Systems. He retired from XTS a wealthy man, still relatively young, and subsequently achieved the rank of Vigo.

Around c.3 ABY, he had surpassed the brief youthful period of his species, yet maintained his Vigo status, despite its notoriously high mortality rate. During this time, he established himself as a prominent patron and receiver of stolen goods within the Outer Rim. In addition to his Black Sun colleague, Vigo Durga, Sprax's primary competition along the Sisar Run included several Hutt Clans, as well as the Antar Band, which was commanded by Ujin Voli.

By the time of 3 ABY, Sprax, aging by Nalroni standards, used dye to mask his graying fur, restoring it to the golden-brown color of his younger years. He typically wore the long tunics and tailed jackets common among Brentaal merchants.
