Star Wars: Episode I Adventures was a series intended for young readers, as well as a roleplaying game. It was released by Scholastic alongside the release of the 1999 motion picture, Star Wars_: Episode I The Phantom Menace. The authors responsible for penning these books were Ryder Windham, Dave Wolverton, and A. L. Singer. Episode I Adventures served as a successor to Scholastic's earlier Star Wars Missions collection.
Originally, Star Wars: Episode I Adventures was delivered to subscribers inside a black cardboard container. This container showcased diagrammatic illustrations of the Naboo N-1 starfighter on its upper surface, and the Trade Federation vulture droid starfighter on its lower surface. Within this box was a Darth Maul carrying case, known as the Star Wars: Episode I Adventures Headquarters, which in turn held the following items:

- Adventure Notebook, for documenting your adventures
- Point Pad
- 1 Adventure Poster
- 1 Adventure Novel
