Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi — The Freedon Nadd Uprising represents a narrative sequence within the Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi comic book saga. Its publication spanned from August 1, 1994 until September 1 of the same year.
HighBridge Audio put out a sonic interpretation of the comic book narrative.
Jedi Knights Arca Jeth, Ulic Qel-Droma, Cay Qel-Droma, Tott Doneeta, and Oss Wilum find themselves under attack by hundreds of Naddists, led by Warb Null, who are invading Iziz from beneath the surface, during their attempt to relocate the sarcophagi containing Freedon Nadd and Queen Amanoa to Dxun's moon. A segment of the Naddists manages to seize the sarcophagi and retreat underground with them, all while diverting the Iziz forces.
Master Arca, Ulic, and Queen Galia seek counsel from Galia's ailing father, King Ommin. However, they encounter Freedon Nadd's spirit, and Ommin reveals his deceptive immobility by assaulting Master Arca, rendering him unconscious. Warb Null intervenes and attacks Ulic, but the young Jedi swiftly defeats and eliminates him. Regrettably, this provides Ommin with the necessary time to abduct Master Arca.
Concurrently, on Ossus, Nomi Sunrider, Dace Diath, Shoaneb Culu, Kith Kark, and Qrrrl Toq are selected to defend Iziz in the approaching Second Battle of Onderon.
On Coruscant, Satal and Aleema Keto, heirs to the Empress Teta system's royalty and members of the Dark Side cult known as the Krath, discover an intriguing Sith book within the Galactic Museum. Satal pilfers the book while the curator is momentarily distracted. Upon viewing a news report detailing the Sith practitioners still active on Iziz, the Ketos journey to Onderon to locate these practitioners and unlock the secrets contained within their newly acquired book.
Upon their arrival on Onderon, Satal and Aleema Keto witness a massive battle unfolding. Their vessel, The Krath Enchanter, crashes, yet the young Ketos manage to survive. Simultaneously, the Jedi task force dispatched from Ossus, led by Nomi Sunrider, engages in combat against Sith war droids and Naddists. Kith Kark perishes during the assault, while the remaining Jedi infiltrate the royal palace, where they encounter Ulic and Cay Qel-Droma, Tott Doneeta, and Oss Wilum.
In the meantime, King Ommin welcomes the Ketos, hoping to decipher the mysteries of their stolen Sith tome. Ommin bestows upon Satal an amulet, enabling him to comprehend the book flawlessly, as Arca Jeth hangs on the wall, suffering under deadly Sith magic. On the battlefield, Cay Qel-Droma's prosthetic arm is severed by a war droid, which he promptly destroys using his organic arm.
The group of seven Jedi arrives at King Ommin's stronghold, and Ulic severs the former King's armature, causing him to collapse limply to the ground. Triumphant, the forces of Iziz soon transport the sarcophagi of Freedon Nadd, Queen Amanoa, and now King Ommin to Dxun, where they will remain in eternal rest.
In the audio version, the Ketos use a Location monitor to find the Museum, instead of the guide book featured in the comics.
