As part of The Big Game's headlining spectacle, Han Solo and Chewbacca find themselves fighting alongside a multitude of gladiators, and the pair join forces against all other participants to survive. However, they come to the understanding that the regulations dictate that only a single survivor will be authorized to exit the arena. Simon Greyshade, the individual responsible for manipulating events on The Wheel, extends an offer to Princess Leia: should she abscond with Greyshade and his illegally obtained wealth, her Rebel comrades will be released. While considering this choice, she observes the featured contest involving Han and Chewbacca, and observes Han seemingly killed by his Wookiee ally.
