Bob Wiacek is known in the comic book world as an inker. He contributed his talents to the Marvel Star Wars series. After Terry Austin's departure in 1978, Wiacek shared inking duties with Gene Day. His regular involvement continued up to the Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back adaptation. Furthermore, he shares creation credit for Remel Fud, Dafi and Slzzk. Much of his career has been spent working for Marvel Comics, where he contributed to numerous issues of titles such as: Alpha Flight, Avengers, Uncanny X-Men, Coyote, Damage Control, Excalibur, Fantastic Four, Iron Man, Silver Surfer and X-Factor throughout the 1980s and 1990s.
