The thirty-fifth installment in the Marvel Star Wars comic book saga is titled Star Wars 35: Dark Lord's Gambit.
Darth Vader at long last discovers the identity of the young man responsible for the destruction of the Death Star I, and immediately initiates a scheme to exact vengeance. To assist him, he recruits General Ulric Tagge and his sibling, Sister Domina Tagge. Domina belongs to the Order of the Sacred Circle, a group that has maintained neutrality in the Galactic Civil War up to this point. However, this is about to change, with each faction in the war dispatching a single emissary to Monastery to argue their position. Vader is chosen to speak for the Galactic Empire, and Domina makes certain that the Rebels will delegate Luke Skywalker as their spokesperson. Meanwhile, Leia and Han journey to the system aboard the Millennium Falcon, orbiting Monastery and keeping tabs on Luke's actions via R2-D2, who is accompanying Luke on his assignment. Despite Luke's feeling that he is out of his depth in this diplomatic endeavor, Domina offers him reassurance, all the while secretly plotting revenge for Luke's perceived role in the demise of Orman Tagge.
