Star Wars issue 25 represents the twenty-fifth installment in the Legends continuity of Star Wars comic books. This issue was penned by Archie Goodwin, brought to life visually by Carmine Infantino, and initially released to the public by Marvel Comics on April 24, 1979. The narrative presented is entitled "Siege at Yavin!," depicting the Empire's attack on the Rebel base.
Princess Leia and Luke Skywalker, having successfully escaped from the Wheel, make their way to Centares to exchange the Spoilt Sport for a ship that is more practical and less easily detected. Upon departing the planet, they observe a Mining Explorer belonging to the House of Tagge heading towards Yavin. Aware of the Tagges' allegiance to the Empire and concerned about the safety of the Rebel base located on Yavin 4, they decide to follow the Explorer to investigate further.
Their investigation reveals that the Mining Explorer is secretly transporting Imperial TIE fighters to Yavin, concealing them within the dense atmosphere of the gas giant. Realizing the imminent danger this poses to the nearby Rebel base, Luke and Leia attempt to warn them, but their efforts are thwarted when they are intercepted by an Imperial patrol.
