Star Wars 31: Return to Tatooine represents the thirty-first installment of the Marvel Star Wars comic book series which began in 1977.
It has been some time since Luke Skywalker departed Tatooine alongside Obi-Wan Kenobi, but now he makes his way back. His objective involves enlisting pilots who operate blockade runner vessels; these pilots are needed to assist the Rebel Alliance in their efforts to vacate their base located on Yavin 4. Nevertheless, his time on the desert planet leads him to uncover hints regarding a clandestine scheme orchestrated by the House of Tagge in collaboration with the Empire, though he cannot decipher the full scope of their intentions. Proceeding to Mos Eisley to resume his initial task, he encounters Han Solo and Chewbacca once more in the very same cantina where their paths initially crossed some months before. However, the joyous reunion is interrupted by the arrival of Fixer, who cautions Luke that the Empire knows of his presence on Tatooine and is actively pursuing him.
