Terry Austin, born on August 23, 1952, is an artist in the world of comic books, predominantly known for his work as an inker and embellisher. During his early career, Austin inked the well-known Batman series from DC Comics in the mid-1970s. However, he achieved even greater recognition after moving to Marvel Comics in 1977, where he collaborated with penciller John Byrne on Uncanny X-Men right as the series began its rise to become the best-selling comic book in the industry. In 1978, he started his involvement with Marvel's Star Wars series alongside writer Archie Goodwin and penciller Carmine Infantino, but his contribution was limited to only five issues before his departure. Subsequently, he reunited with Byrne in 1986 to work on another significant project: the revamped Superman title. Additionally, Austin took on the roles of writer and inker for the Dark Horse comic adaptation of Splinter of the Mind's Eye which was released in 1995.
