Aurra Sing is in pursuit of her target, who also happens to be her previous mentor, The Dark Woman; Aurra follows her to a vibrant jungle world as it experiences a seasonal meteor shower. On this stunning, yet perilous world, the Dark Woman is looking for a break from the demands of the Jedi Order and inner peace from events in her past. However, her past failures have resulted in a contract on her life! Simultaneously, Adi Gallia, Ki-Adi-Mundi, and A'Sharad Hett accompany a questionable Quarren group from Mon Calamari to the planet's surface. They are wary of the Quarren senator's intentions and are ready to discover the real purpose of his journey! This thrilling third installment continues "The Hunt for Aurra Sing"!

The story begins with Jedi hunter Aurra Sing destroying the Jedi transport ship carrying Jedi Masters Ki-Adi-Mundi and Adi Gallia, as well as Padawan A'Sharad Hett. Fortunately, they manage to escape in a pod just in time. Facing certain death as they drift aimlessly, they are found by a Mon Calamari cruiser. The cruiser takes them in, and the Jedi are surprised to find themselves amongst Quarren, including the rogue Quarren Senator Tikkes. Feeling suspicious, the Jedi decide to join the Senator on his trip, in order to monitor him closely. Elsewhere, the Dark Woman seeks refuge from a meteor storm on her secluded sanctuary planet, only to be found by her former student, Sing herself. By chance, this is the same planet that the Jedi Masters and their Quarren escort are headed towards. While trying to establish a secure area, several Quarren are killed when they trigger mines planted by Sing. It is at this point that the Dark Woman decides to reveal herself. Mistaking her for their attacker, a Quarren soldier shoots at her. Surprised, Ki-Adi-Mundi and A'Sharad Hett hurry to find the Dark Woman. However, as soon as they locate her, they are attacked by Aurra Sing.
