Synopsis of the Story

Aurra Sing under attack by droidekas.

Aurra Sing makes her arrival on the world of Talas. Immediately after she disembarks from her vessel, a trio of Droidekas deploy and commence an assault on her. Aurra activates her crimson lightsaber and leaps into the fray. After swiftly neutralizing the droids, she observes two Quarrens positioned on a cliff overlooking her. These are Tallet and Lekket. They have the intention of enlisting Aurra Sing's services and chose to deploy the Droidekas as a means of evaluating her capabilities. Aurra is displeased with being tested and is prepared to execute both Quarrens.

Tallet elucidates to Aurra that he and Lekket formerly managed a smuggling operation for the Hutts on their native planet, Mon Calamari. An ambitious Quarren (now a senator) by the name of Tikkes informed the Republic authorities, resulting in a raid on their base of operations by soldiers. A Jedi Knight solely known as the Dark Woman spearheaded the assault. As Tallet and Lekket entered an escape pod, a Quarren bodyguard discharged a weapon at the Dark Woman. She redirected the projectile with her lightsaber, causing it to strike a fuel cell. Acid from the damaged cell splashed onto Tallet, leaving permanent scars.

Having been compelled to escape as fugitives from justice, Tallet and Lekket established a new residence on Talas. They now seek their own form of justice and wish to employ Aurra Sing to assassinate Senator Tikkes. Aurra has no interest in Tikkes himself, but the potential opportunity to locate and eliminate her former mentor, the Dark Woman, is too tempting to decline.

Subsequently, a Republic cruiser, carrying Adi Gallia, Ki-Adi-Mundi, and A'Sharad Hett, traverses through space. They approach an asteroid field and acquire a lock on Aurra's spacecraft. As they draw nearer, they determine that Aurra is not aboard the ship. She is piloting a personal speeder, rapidly approaching their rear. Completely surprising the Jedi, Aurra unleashes a barrage of torpedoes, which begin to tear apart the cruiser.
