Star Wars Volume 1: In the Shadow of Yavin is a collected edition in the form of a trade paperback belonging to the Star Wars Legends continuity. This volume compiles issues 1 through 6 of the Star Wars comic book series authored by Brian Wood, together with the short story entitled "Star Wars: The Assassination of Darth Vader," which was initially featured in Free Comic Book Day 2013. Dark Horse Books released it on October 1, 2013.

Following the Death Star's demise, the Rebel Alliance finds itself relentlessly pursued by the Galactic Empire. Princess Leia, suspecting the presence of a mole within their ranks, establishes a clandestine X-wing squadron that includes Luke Skywalker.
