Star Wars Year By Year: A Visual History, Updated and Expanded Edition represents the third iteration of Star Wars Year By Year. The original book was launched in 2010, while the second edition saw its release in 2012. This particular edition introduces 40 new pages, integrated within the existing "Clone Wars & Beyond" section, and also the fresh "Star Wars: A New Era" section. Both of these additions were penned by Pablo Hidalgo. The 2012 chapter has been reworked, featuring six new pages, bringing the total to eight. Preexisting segments have been subjected to minor alterations, and only one segment, concerning Star Wars Art: Illustration, has been removed compared to the previous edition. The new "Star Wars: A New Era" section includes four new chapters, covering the years 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016, adding up to a total of 34 additional pages.
