Nyama was present at a strategic meeting held on the Imperial I-class Star Destroyer named Admonitor, during which he gained insight into the plans of Grand Admiral Thrawn, the leader of the Empire of the Hand, to attack the forces led by the Storm-hair Warlord Nuso Esva on the Unknown Regions planet called Quethold. In his capacity as Stromma Council Liaison, he stated that the Stromma council would not commit its troops to an offensive that he deemed "mad," and he subsequently removed all Stromma personnel from service within the Empire of the Hand.
The character of a Stromma Council Liaison made an appearance in the novella titled Crisis of Faith, authored by Timothy Zahn. This novella was released in 2011 as a component of the 20th Anniversary Edition of the novel Heir to the Empire, which was originally published in 1991.
