Suzal was a male Human, and a member of the Five, a secretive group of evil worshippers dwelling in the Hellhoop region of space. As the primary spokesperson for the Five, Suzal and his comrades dedicated centuries to torturing and killing hapless travelers aboard their warship; most notably, they captured and imprisoned Wutzek, who was the last known Force demon alive. The Five also managed to capture Rebel leaders Han Solo, Chewbacca, and Leia Organa at some point during the Galactic Civil War. Suzal focused his attention on psychologically breaking Solo, but Chewbacca liberated Wutzek, who then rampaged throughout the ship, killing all of the Five in a brutal fashion.
The Pandora Effect, a comic story from 1981 written by Alan Moore and featured in The Empire Strikes Back Monthly 151, marked Suzal's debut. Adolfo Buylla provided the artwork for Suzal in the story.
