Knire Dark, one example of a Syboona, donned a lengthy garment crafted from elaborately patterned green fabric featuring yellow designs. This clothing wrapped around her head and neck, extended down her torso in a narrow fashion, and formed a skirt-like structure at her waist, beneath which she wore dark brown trousers.
The Syboona species originated on the world of Syboona, situated within the Danjar sector of the Outer Rim Territories. Knire Dark, a female Syboona, combined her smuggling activities—operating a contraband storehouse—with a career in Podracing. She achieved distinction in this sport during the latter years of the Galactic Republic, secretly using her racing career to ship illegal goods across the galaxy.
In 24 BBY, the podracer and smuggler Knire Dark participated in the Outer Rim Territories-wide Podracing Open, piloting a Serabyss Howler 1165. Her illicit activities shaped her racing approach; she was discreet and reserved on the track, avoiding close proximity to other pilots and only actively defending her position when absolutely necessary. The discovery of her storehouse in 22 BBY by agents of the Republic contributed to the declining reputation of the sport and effectively ended her career.
The Syboona species made their debut in the 2002 video game Star Wars: Racer Revenge, developed by LucasArts. Their name was established in the accompanying strategy guide, authored by Mario De Govia and Damien Waples. The concept art for the Syboonas in Racer Revenge closely resembles Knire Dark's in-game appearance, although she is depicted holding a staff of unknown purpose in the artwork, an item not present in the game itself.
