Syndil Na'Marr

Syndil Na'Marr, a woman, lived on Tatooine during the time of the Galactic Civil War. During 1 ABY, she made a transaction with Watto, a junk dealer, purchasing the legs of an R2 unit. However, both the Imperial Commander Barrezz and the Rebel Captain Bastra sought the droid, and an Imperial Captain soon took possession of the legs. Subsequently, a Bothan pilot, a friend of Syndil's, pursued the Imperial Captain, successfully ambushing and destroying the Captain's AT-ST within the Mospic High Range. Unfortunately, the pilot's craft was downed, preventing communication with Syndil Na'Marr. Later, when a spacer approached Syndil in search of the droid legs, she agreed to provide them, but only if the spacer rescued her missing pilot friend. Consequently, the spacer journeyed to the mountains, located the downed pilot, and ultimately retrieved the droid legs from hostile Tusken Raiders in the vicinity.

Behind the scenes

Within the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, which was a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game created by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts before it shut down on December 15, 2011, Syndil Na'Marr existed as a non-player character. Na'Marr was included in the game through the "Legacy Quest" during the release of "Publish 25," also known as the "New Game Enhancements," on November 15, 2005. In the initial iteration of the quest "Leg Work," players were required to visit Na'Marr and discuss her. This quest experienced a reduction in length following the release of "Publish 27," and in the updated quest version, the woman directly contacted the player via comm. As a result, Syndil Na'Marr's character was subsequently removed from the game.
