GalacticMarineHelmet-SWBC31 Galactic Marines were known to utilize armor incorporating a synthmesh visor. Synthmesh provided protection. The 21st Nova Corps's members were equipped with armor featuring a unique, breathable synthmesh visor designed to filter out poisonous gases.
