Systems Operations

Systems Operations functioned as a branch of Alliance Intelligence's Operations division. These static intelligence-gathering groups, led by a case officer at Sector Headquarters, were based within a specific star system. The cell network was composed of local inhabitants from the system or a particular planet, who were enlisted by either the Case Officer or operatives already working in the field. Once established, these networks operated autonomously, without intervention from Alliance Intelligence unless the Alliance to Restore the Republic deemed the system or planet strategically important. The effectiveness and scope of these networks differed based on the specific system, leading to inconsistencies in the quality of the intelligence they produced. Typically, a retired 23er served as the case officer, maintaining constant vigilance against Imperial infiltration and prepared to shut down the network instantly if necessary.

Systems Operations personnel were often responsible for writing the SecuriDexs published by the Analysis department, which outlined possible dangers to the Alliance.
