The T1-B hovertank served as a tank utilized by the Rebel Alliance in the initial phases of the Galactic Civil War.
The T1-B hovertank, often referred to as a "Rebel hover tank," was produced by Yutrane-Trackata for use by the Alliance to Restore the Republic in their conflict with the Galactic Empire. This tank was designed to engage both ground troops and aircraft, and it was equipped with laser cannons along with flak pods. The T1-B featured light armor and included a deflector shield system. Although these shields were not durable under constant bombardment, they were effective in protecting the tank from damage inflicted by lightly armed vehicles. Subsequent enhancements to the T1-B led to the development of the T3-B heavy attack tank, sometimes called a 'heavy hover tank'.
The Alliance Army deployed T1-B tanks in various operations throughout the Galactic Civil War, notably during events such as the Battle of Kalaan, the Evacuation of Yavin, the Reytha campaign, the Battle of Geddes, the Battle of Zaloriis, and the Battle of Hoth.
